Say It Ain’t So— Coca Cola has done a nice job of telling everyone that they’re a beverage company that’s gone far beyond soda. The company has undertaken the gargantuan effort of replacing all the water it uses to make its portfolio of beverages, with a target date of 2020. About two years ago Fortune magazine reported Coca Cola’s claim to have achieved that goal early. But some of their math seems to have been a bit suspect. Now, to give customers more of a true Halo brand experience, they’ve begun opening scoop shops. These social media friendly, Halo Top ice cream pop ups serve up the ice cream and the fun. KFC Steps Into it— The plant-based game that is. They’re working on their first-ever vegetarian fried chicken, and its first stop will be the UK. KFC’s USA team has not yet commented.
